ThermoSpas Hot Tubs - Thermospa's Unsatisfactory Service
First, Thermospas sends out this nice sales guy who does a great job, then offers a $1000 discount if you place your order right now. Not tomorrow or the next day, but right now. This tactic ***. But this is my fault for wanting to save $1000.
Second, the Thermospa is about the most expensive spa you can buy, and I am reasonably convinced it is a good spa from the brochures and acrylic samples. I buy in, place an order for the $1000 discount, and further, pay in advance for some additional discount.
Then the company disappears. We were told 6-8 weeks for delivery. That would have had our tub arriving sometime between 3 Feb and 17 Feb, give or take. It is now March 17th, and still no tub has been delivered. So read 6-8 weeks to mean 10-12 weeks. The only calls we get a call to schedule the first late delivery, then another call to delay further.
Now, we are one day away from the appointed delivery date, and not a word from the company. I have a schedule I need to manage, and, with the delivery on a Friday, we want to ensure we can schedule an electrician to hook it up. I call the East Coast delivery manager, and can only leave a message.
I'm wondering if it will all be worth it. I've bought dozens of cars, and even Toyota stays in touch. BMW bothers me with too much service. Here, I pay a Mercedes price for a hot tub, and the company basically ignores me, and over-promises and under-delivers. This is disappointing. I hope it is one great hot tub when we get it.
